Ja-pun-ese

During our wandering it was pretty common for us to all stop and sit down when planning our next move. When it was time to move on Kira would usually shout put Ikimasho, which means Let’s go. Towards the end of the trip we were all dragging a little and Melanie replied in a very tied voice,

“Ikima-No.”

This led to a series of very bad puns:

Let’s get this Ikima-show on the road.

Can we go Ikima-slow?

I don’t Ikima-know.

I wish the wind would Ikima-blow.

If we keep spending money we will be ikima-po. Because we will be out of Ikima-dough.

Where did you come from cotton-eyed Ikima-joe.

Look a Ikima-tori gate.
